Confidentiality Policy

The confidentiality of users' data ("customers", "you") is important to us ("AVDB MOTO", "our company"), and that is why, for the sake of a total transparency with you, we describe here how we use these data. We know these mentions may be rather indigestible to read but they are now mandatory to publish.

Protecting your data

First of all, of course we do not use, transfer, market or trade the data you provide when creating your account for marketing purposes.

AVDB MOTO deploys all the physical, material and budgetary means in its possession to protect your personal data. By taking all appropriate measures and by working with qualified professionals ; our technical, organizational and physical procedures are designed to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, disclosure or fraudulent use.

We do not make changes to our clients' accounts without their expressed consent. Any kind of modification that could be made on an account is only done on the user's express request (change of the password, spelling of the name, correction / change of address email ...) or following his/her clear agreement by telephone or written by email (including, but not limited to, correction of the address, modification of the delivery city' name etc). Generally speaking, any change that could be made to your account will be made only in case of first necessity or on your request, but always with your agreement.

Why do I have to create an account to place an order ?

The consultation of our e-shop is free. However, to place an order, it is mandatory for the user to create a customer account.  We therefore make sure we have all the necessary information for your order to be properly processed.

Therefore sharing your personal data is mandatory for the confirmation, the validation of your order, and for its follow-up. In their absence, the order can not be processed. Mandatory information are identified by a red asterisk on the account creation form you will find when ordering, but all other information are optional.

How do we use the information provided when creating your account ?

Creating an account involves providing necessary information for the proper processing of your order. The list of the collected information and their use are detailed below:

 Provided Information Used for...
Email Address

Creating an account, receiving information at each step of your order, being contacted in case of a problem,  receiving your parcel's tracking number ...

First and Last Name, Address Editing a shipping slip, delivering your parcel, processing your invoices ...
Telephone Number 1 on 2 is mandatory (you can either provide your home or personal telephone number, or both) / Calling you in case of a problem with your order (the fastest way), contacting you during the delivery process

This information (email, surname, first name, address, telephone number) will also be communicated to our transporter (currently LA POSTE, which has its own privacy policy) for the smooth running of your delivery (your address for obvious reasons (shipping), email address for tracking, phone number to contact you during the delivery process if needed...).

No service provider other than LA POSTE or their regional partner (depending on the country) is authorized by AVDB MOTO to contact its customers on its behalf. If this ever happens, please contact us immediately to let us know.

What are your rights, as user ?

Access Right :
You have the right to ask us for information concerning the personal data we hold on you.

Right of rectification:
You have the right to correct / modify your information at any time on your account (in order to do this, log in here : https://avdb-moto.fr/shop/en/authentication), as many times as you like . Just be careful that the modification you make do not cause an inability for us to honor your order (example: putting a pseudonym instead of your name on the delivery address, a false delivery address etc).

Right of cancellation:
You can request the deletion of your account on our website at any time. You just have to ask us for it and in a click of our part it will be done; unless the processing of one of your orders or after-sales service is in progress.

For all these points, you can send your request to our webmanager by email at romain.avdb@gmail.com.

If you feel that we use your personal data inappropriately, do not hesitate: contact us! You also have the right to file a complaint with the supervisory authority (https://www.cnil.fr/fr/reagir or https://www.cnil.fr/en/).

Newsletter and marketing

If you have accepted to receive our newsletter, you can change this decision at any time directly from your personal account, simply by unchecking the related box.

If you refuse to receive marketing communications from us, we may still send you communications about your orders (information, no doubt, that you also want to receive).

Links to social networks

Our online services may contain links to third-party operated websites and not by us (social networks, third-party websites, etc.) Although these links lead to AVDB MOTO's professional profile, the fact remains that these platforms have their own privacy policy. The direct links provided on our e-shop redirect to Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Google and eBay (not a social network indeed, but they too have their own privacy policy as a third-party website).

Bank information

No bank information used for payment on our e-shop is ever transmitted or saved to our server. The only traces we have are transaction IDs, linked to a customer account and to an amount.

Some payment methods proposed on our website redirect to external, third-party websites (with their own security). This concerns in particular the following payment method (by chosing one of them when processing your order, you will be redirected to an external page):

  • "CREDIT CARD" (you will be redirected to the payment platform of the bank that manages our transactions : Crédit Agricole)
  • "PAYPAL" (you will be redirected to PayPal website, which has its own personal data policy)
