"Crash-Bar" type tubular protections for fairings and engine. Specific to BMW :
R1200 GS | 2004 - 2007 |
R 1200GS | 2008 - 2012 |
A crash is rarely predictable and the damages caused even more so!
A lever is not very expensive, although the original one is not cheap, but a broken crankcase can send your bike to the scrapyard...
On the other hand, if the fall does not prevent you, you can anticipate and protect your bike.
You wear a helmet, why shouldn't your bike be protected?
Let's face it, protective pads aren't always very aesthetic.
But if you have to choose, is it better to sacrifice a little bit of the bike's design or risk having it stripped down to sell it for parts?
These tubular steel crash bars are extremely solid.
They fit onto existing fixing points without any modifications to do for the mounting.
The screws and bolts are supplied so that you do not have to disassemble it only to find that you have to go to the DIY shop.
These types of protections are widely used by motorcycle schools and stunters, which is a sure sign of effectiveness!
Tip : To prevent the fixing screws from seizing up and the bars from becoming undetachable over time, do not forget to grease the threads of the new screws. When tightening the screws from the original anchor points, please refer to the tightening torque indicated by the manufacturer.
