Quite simply an accessory, a piece that is no longer made, no longer found, no longer manufactured and that we can offer you today. 

We explain : Some parts or accessories are no longer manufactured after a certain time. An avid biker can spend weeks, months or years looking for them on Ebay or on the classifieds ad sites, trying to find them with varying degrees of success. The biker often refers to these parts as rare gems.

Our gems, it's when we believe from our experience (and our passion) that we have unearthed that priceless and/or unobtainable treasure, that we have it in stock brand-new, and that we can offer it to you for sale. We are certain that for some parts, we have in our possession some of the very last examples existing on the market. It is important to note that our stocks are (very) limited, and when they will be out of stock, we can only wish you good luck in finding them again. If we may give you some advice, don't miss out.

Akra's gems, what are they and why? 

Some EVOLUTION II exhaust lines that are intended to equip the first ZX10R or the first CBR 600 RR, does that remind you of something? A brand new exhaust line, still in its original packaging for a CBR XX, a bandit 12, does that tell you anything? Or a titanium line designed to fit the famous 2004 RM-Z powered by a Kawasaki engine, does that bring back memories? 

If so, fine, we are on the same wavelength. Is it still necessary to remind you that some of these products were sold in Francs, Pounds, Deutsche Mark or even Pesetas? That they disappeared from the AKRAPOVIC catalogue almost 20 years ago? And what would you say if we told you that we still have some of them in stock? Yes yes, with the good old Akra logo. Wouldn't you say we have some gems?  Ah, thank you, here we are..

A little bit of history : 

Between 1970 and 1991, Igor Akrapovič prepared his own motorbikes for the competitions he took part in. After a few clear victories, Mr Akrapovič decided to enter the motorbike exhaust market.

In 1991, the Akrapovič company was launched. With a performance and competition enthusiast at the helm, it took only two short years for the brand to break through internationally. In 2000, after several legendary race victories, Akrapovič won its first ever WorldSBK title.

Just two years later, the brand entered the MotoGP World Championship. Always in search of knowledge, the new millennium marks the beginning of the conquest of Igor Akrapovič and his empire. After his arrival in MotoGP, the brand moved on to Formula 1, Endurance and Grand Touring. With its experience and successful expertise, the brand accesses in all motorsports with ever increasing performance.

In 2007, the manufacturer took a new turn in its development with the creation of state-of-the-art laboratories and the integration of a titanium foundry into its premises. Technology at the service of very high quality materials allows the brand to create shapes, alloys and premium finishes adapted to the performance of the vehicles for which they are designed.

Proud representative of a unique know-how, the company successfully proves the efficiency, durability and unerring popularity around its products. Today, Akrapovič is positioned as the undisputed champion of motorsport performance with over 140 world championship titles to its credit.

Premium technology, a unique symphony.

In addition to its motorsport expertise, the brand's success is a direct result of the materials used and the method of processing, alloys and finishing.

Hydroforming process

The titanium and stainless steel tubes of the Akrapovič exhaust lines are machined using a hydroforming process. This process allows the tubes to be machined precisely without overheating the materials. For this, almost 2000 tons and 5000 bars of water pressure are applied to form the tubes, which are then bent into the shape of the Akrapovič product in the next production step.

Cold folding process

Akrapovič's know-how allows the manufacturer to form by cold folding process exhaust lines on tubes ranging from 10 to 100mm with curves ranging from 30 to over 150mm. The brand's objective is to push back the limits of the materials used in order to seek ever greater performance and resistance. The industrialisation of the company's production processes allows for a top level of precision with a tolerance limit of 0.3mm. 

Akrapovič is synonymous with high quality titanium, carbon and stainless steel. In order to guarantee the best possible quality of titanium, the Slovenian firm has set up a titanium foundry at the heart of its manufacturing process. 

Why did they choose titanium as a work basis? Titanium is a very light and strong alloy. With tremendous corrosion resistance, this alloy has a high heat resistance and a very high melting temperature. Akrapovič only works with titanium grades 2, 5 and 9, alloys offering heat resistance up to 998°C.

With the aim of making performance accessible to as many people as possible, Akrapovič has also declined its very high performance titanium exhaust lines into stainless steel exhaust lines. Despite this change of material, the shape of the line remains optimised for the machine for which it is intended. Slightly less resistant to very high temperatures and slightly heavier, it remains very resistant to corrosion. Intended to be less demanding than the titanium lines, the stainless steel lines act as a mid-range in Akrapovič's high-performance premium universe.

To complement these works of art, the manufacturer has developed its expertise in weaving and moulding carbon fibre. This has enabled Akrapovič to create lightweight silencers in a variety of shapes with performance in mind. Known for its finish and durability, the company's carbon quickly became a success. Such was its success that the manufacturer decided to diversify to create not only mufflers but also heat shields and other fairing parts. For aesthetic, protective and performance purposes, a motorbike equipped with a full exhaust system and Akrapovič carbon fairings never leaves you indifferent.

You can complete your line with the muffler of your choice. Your original muffler, an Akrapovič slip-on or an AVDB one? In some cases, we can even offer you an IXRace muffler to make your bike even more stylish.
• EVO1 : The serious business begins. With Akrapovič EVO1 exhaust lines, you choose to mount a performance part that will allow your machine to express itself fully. Weight loss, power gain, corrosion resistance and with a blistering sound. This is the ultimate offered by Akrapovič for production bikes. 
• EVO2 : High speed exhaust line used in competition. This is the technology used by Akrapovič in MotoGP and WorldSBK. There is no superlative to describe this very high performance equipment. You want to develop the full potential of your machine? No doubt, this line is made for you. Please note that we advise this exhaust system for bikes prepared for the best possible performance.

The advantage of these ranges? You can complete your exhaust line with the muffler of your choice. An Akrapovič or an AVDB muffler? There is something for every style and every budget!

The Akrapovič exhaust mufflers we offer are divided into two ranges : 

• Akrapovič Classic : This is the muffler that gave the brand its letters of nobility. Its design comes back to the great moments of the Superbike races of the 90s and early 2000s. Available in carbon and titanium finishes, with a long or short muffler, the Classic range retains all its splendour and, above all, all its style.
• Akrapovič Evolution : The Akrapovič mufflers of the evolution range mark the major turning point taken by the company. Technology at the service of performance. Carbon finishes and titanium alloys allow for the development of more advanced exhaust systems meeting more advanced standards. Available in a long full carbon version and a long titanium muffler sleeve with a carbon end cap.

For exhaust lines with a diameter of 51 mm, we offer long Akrapovič Classic mufflers in carbon or titanium finish.

For exhaust lines with a diameter of 61 mm, we offer three muffler solutions. The Akrapovič Classic short mufflers and the Akrapovič Classic long mufflers in carbon or titanium finish. We also offer the Akrapovič Evolution long muffler range in carbon or titanium & carbon finish.
