Universal preload / compression 43-48mm fork gauge ring
You may have seen a small zip tie or O-ring on the fork tube on some motorbikes, mainly track bikes.
For the uninitiated, this is used to check at a glance whether or not your fork spring preload setting is correct.
Depending on how you use your bike (on the track for some, on a loaded trip for others), you may need to adjust the preload setting to ensure that your ride remains as pleasant and incisive as ever!
When you operate the fork, the collar or seal moves and once the fork has returned to its initial position, you can see how far it has sunk.
Zip ties and O-rings are very effective, but have a number of disadvantages.
The zip tie is a do-it-yourself device and the O-ring requires you to dismantle your fork tube to slide it on.
So, to combine business with pleasure, AVDB offers you these control rings,
They are made from anodised aluminium for good looks, and rubber-coated to prevent damage to the tube.
The icing on the cake is that they are open so you can slide them over the tube without having to disassemble everything.
So you'll be able to see at a glance whether your fork needs adjusting before your track session or your loaded-up road trip!
