EBC Brakes is a British company that started out in Europe and then in the USA in the 1980s, developing the world's first range of aftermarket parts. Specialising in brake parts for the automotive industry, the company's success has made it a world leader in motorbike braking.
The brand's range of brake pads is now the widest in the world, with more than 5,000 references for different types of vehicles.
EBC brake pads are produced exclusively in its own factories in the UK and USA. For motorbike brake discs, production is 100% in the UK. There is something for every taste and speciality at EBC, whether for Road, Track, Enduro or Off-Road use!
In simple terms, your clutch connects your engine to the gearbox.
The system is "simple", it is a succession of steel clutch plates and friction plates which, by being in friction with each other, link the engine and the gearbox.
The principle is the same as for your braking system. When the padding of the brake pads comes into contact with the discs, there is friction, which causes the motorbike to stop.
But like the braking system, if the discs or pads are worn, the friction does not work properly and the bike stops less well.
The same applies to the clutch. The engine's power is no longer transmitted to the gearbox because the clutch plates are slipping.
So it's time to change some of your clutch components. Just like the brakes, it is advisable to replace the pads when you change the discs, because everything wears out together.
AVDB offers you a range of steel clutch plates and friction clutch plates, from the brand EBC.
You will be able to choose among several qualities and declinations to have a clutch the most adapted possible to your expectations and to your use.
CK:
Here you go for a ride, the one you've been waiting for for months!
But if the rev counter goes crazy with each acceleration, the speedometer does not move!
This is what we call a slipping clutch...
There are several possible causes for this phenomenon.
The simplest is a badly adjusted clutch guard, which means that the clutch is constantly under pressure and the plates are not able to do their job.
But if this is not the case, then the plates are certainly tired and can no longer do their job properly.
AVDB offers you a range of clutch plate kits.
These EBC plates have the same characteristics as the original ones, i.e. ribs and thickness, so that they can be fitted to your motorbike in a plug and play way.
Little advice: To avoid premature wear, it is ideal to change all the plates as well as the springs.
