On a motorbike or scooter, they are rarely very large, but can cause major problems if worn. In simple terms, they allow 2 parts to rotate freely in relation to each other.

It's often when someone else tries it out that they say: "But your bike is unrideable!
And indeed, it's become hard to corner, with the impression that you're going to fall off at every roundabout, or that it lurches, even on a billiard table road.

Generally, when you lift the front of the bike, the diagnosis is clear... When you turn the steering from left to right, a hard spot has formed in the centre. A notch that prevents the steering from being perfectly free.
