Before presenting the different ranges, it is useful to clarify the meaning of the "/" that can be found in the EBC reference. Namely, if the reference of the pad ends with a /2 it means that it will be slightly thinner than if there is no / in the reference. This can be useful if you are using an adaptable disc that is thicker than the original one. On the other hand, if the part number contains /3, it means that the pad will be thicker than without the /, which is not very common at EBC, but ideal for example if your disc is already worn. In the case of a /4, it only means that it is a set of 4 pads! EBC set themselves apart from the competition with their range of Organic pads, surpassing the qualities of competing organic pads. Secondly, the brand was the first to achieve ECE R90 approval in the European market, with their sintered metal double-H range, featuring the highest HH coefficient of friction in the industry, ensuring consistent performance at high operating temperatures, and up to twice the life of organic pads.

Made of sintered metal, these pads have an ultra high friction, with the highest known friction index (between 0.6 and 0.7), which is why they are not suitable for use on the road or with road tyres, but are ideal for use with track/slicks tyres.

No loss of efficiency is guaranteed and you avoid the unpleasant feeling of having a spongy lever. The heat stability of these brake pads is perfect, leaving you feeling confident with a product that can be used over several track sessions..

Road driving with this material is strongly discouraged and dangerous, these pads are intended for closed circuit use only.

The R and MXS series are acclaimed by Cross and Off-Road enthusiasts for their highest HH friction rating, but also for their excellent all-weather performance. Made of sintered metal containing copper, these series are designed for high durability, complete resistance to mud, water, sand and gravel, while limiting damage to the disc. The MXS series pads have a diamond ground surface finish and in most cases are supplied with the new pin kits.
